Chapter 5. On the Attack. Choose your weapon. Use it to its full effect.

Search and destroy missions might have to be conducted, and if your government is there to do it, sit back and watch them at work. However, if such aid is no where to be found, get ready for the time to hunt the hunters.

Before setting out to eradicate zombie presence:

  1. Collective Response: Attack as a group and defend as a group. Warefare should never be a solo mission.

  2. Keep Discipline: Keeping order is of upmost importance. A under geared, unwaivering, displined team is infinitly more effective than a well armed mob.

  3. Be Alert: Always keep on the look out for danger, your are in zombie territory.

  4. Use Guides: Having a person's knowledge of the area is invaluable, and can make traversing the area much safer.

  5. Have a Support Base: Having a base of operations leaves your team something to fall back to incase of emergency and when your have to regroup.

  6. Use Daylight: During daylight you have greater visibility and also better morale. At night it is more difficult to spot dangers.

  7. Plan Your Exit Strategy: Have a plan in place for quickly vacating the area in an emergency, with it underguard, and safe.

  8. Let Them Come to You: Zombies are dumb and will attack regardless of the situation. So take advantage and make noise, make fires, anything to attract the zombies, while you wait in defense.

  9. Knock!: Knock on doors to check for survivors or zombies locked in rooms. Knocking will rouse any undead to make their presence known, but always maintain caution.

  10. Be Thorough: Zombies could be anywhere. Check every conceivable place; airducts, basements, holes, even underwater.

  11. Maintain Communication: Always keep in radio or some other form of communication with other members of the group so all are aware of trouble.

  12. Kill and Listen: After killing zombies, pause and listen for other zombies attracted to the noise of killing them.

  13. Dispose of All Bodies: Burn or bury all bodies to maintain sanitation as rotting bodies are a bio-hazard that can spread disease.

  14. Flame Control: Always control fires created so that they do not get out of control.

  15. NEVER Go Off Alone: Why send a team to do the job of one person? For safety, which is the number one priority at all times. A single person can easily be overwhelmed and surrounded, never be so foolish as to do something alone, EVEN going to the bathroom.
