After watching the trailer, Zombieland looks incredibly hilarious, and I already can’t wait to see it! So take a look yourself. The movie stars Woody Harrelson, Jesse Eisenberg, Emma Stone, Abigail Breslin and is directed by Ruben Fleischer.

The premise of the movie is a post apocalyptic world overrun by zombies with people finding interesting ways to kill the zombie menace. I guess a bullet to the head gets a little too boring? The last movie with this much promise of zombie hilarity was Shawn of the Dead. Looking forward to this movie!

In Theaters October 9th.

Diary of the Dead, a movie more about people than zombies.

George A. Romero's: Diary of the Dead I have just watched Diary of the Dead. Written and directed by George A. Romero, it is a pre-zombie infection log of what later leads into Dawn of the Dead, from the point of view of two cameras filming what unfolds as the dead rise again. The movie conforms to other horror films, but with an added home made flair to it. The paradox of a horror film, being filmed, allows it to delve deeper into the psychological part of a zombie flick with recorded conversations and introductions of the characters. The main person documenting the unfolding of events comes more from an angle of documentation, rather than a series of “good shots” more apparent in the movie “Cloverfield”. People quickly cast off civilization, painting a picture of the dark ages in a weeks time. One can only hope that panic, insanity, and savagery does not set as quickly as this film depicts, although, if what happened with Hurricane Katrina is any indication, we should be very afraid.
